Ode to Badger
Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame is one of my favorite books and this quote by Leonardo DaVinci ties us to the idea of nature as a whole.
In the book, Badger says, “Now then, tell us the news from your part of the world.” and, “It takes all sorts to make the world.”
In our fast paced world, full of instantaneous news, I sometimes day dream about what it would be like to be a badger.
Burrowing and living underground.
Searching for a cool drink of water on the increasingly hotter prairie.
Thanks to Wyoming artist and free motion quilter Mary Koenig, the quote by Leonardo Da Vinci was sewn onto the fabric hanging in the old sewing box. “Water is the driving force of all nature.”
